What is ANATEL? - Solufy Brazil Holder
ANATEL is the agency responsible to regularize telecommunications in Brazil. It acronym means “Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações”, or “National Telecomunication Agency”.
As so, every frequency used to communicate anything is regulated by it, for example, radio frequencies, TV signals, cellphone frequencies, and their towers, coverage areas, 3G, 4G, 5G technologies, and Bluetooth.
As INMETRO, the agency also has its accredited certified bodies. As so, if anyone would like to bring any product to Brazil (or manufacture it on national soil) which uses any kind of radiofrequency to communicate, must first be approved by them.
